Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Kumi ("the Service"), operated by Kumi ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Kumi is a clinical logbook platform for veterinary students, interns, and professionals. The Service allows users to create patient profiles, log consultations, build examination templates, and track clinical progress. Kumi is not a medical records system and should not be used as a substitute for official veterinary medical records.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service (patient data, photos, notes, templates). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to the Service.

6. Plans and Billing

The Service offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any data loss, downtime, or damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kumi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of account termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
